Serving the health needs of our members: Lee Robirds
Health ministry helps congregations care for one another by attaining, maintaining and/or regaining the best possible whole person health — wellness of body, mind and spirit — that can be experienced. The congregational nurse is a registered nurse who is committed to this concept of health ministry.
Lee Robirds serves the congregation of Main Street United Methodist Church as the Congregational Nurse. Lee earned a BA in Social Work from the University of Arkansas in 1974 and a Masters of Social Work degree in 1975. In 1994 Lee was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Lander University. Lee joined the staff of Main Street in November of 2003 having previously worked at the St. Louis Regional Center for Developmental Disabilities and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Developmental Center. Lee is married to Mark Robirds, a physician with Internal Medicine of Greenwood. Lee and Mark’s family include daughters, Darcy and Lauren, son, Nathan, daughter-in-law, Katie, and granddaughter Kyle.
