New Minister, Reverend Terry C. Martin

            We welcome our new minister, Terry C. Martin and his wife, Lynda, to Main Street UMC.  Rev. Martin comes to us from Wesley UMC in Hartsville, SC.  Rev. Martin has had pastoral experience in a variety of churches in all parts of South Carolina since he began serving Orrville UMC in Anderson as a student appointment in 1977.  In each appointment he has been active in the community bringing people together and especially providing leadership in the area of disaster response.  He is also a Chaplain with the US Air Force Reserve.  The Martins have four grown children and five grandchildren.  Terry received his bachelor’s degree from Central Wesleyan College and, in 1981, his Master of Divinity from Emory University.

We wish our departing minister Jim Dennis and his wife, Caroline our blessings as they begin their journey at Grace United Methodist Church in North Augusta, SC.  Main Street members will miss both of them.
